A bit late I know but there’s still tonight and tomorrow to see the fantastic Christmas lights in the main high street sponsored by the Argleton Chamber of Commerce.

Last remaining Woolworths store still pulling in the crowds in Argleton

They say “that’s the wonder of Woolworths” and nowhere more so than here in Argleton.

The town centre branch of Woolies is still going strong despite it’s fellow stores across the nation having succumbed to the credit crunch long ago.

Pop in soon for your pick ‘n mix or to take advantage of some early Christmas shopping. All chart CDs are only £5.00!

Getting to Argleton

Getting to Argleton is pretty easy.

Merseyrail run a regular train service to Town Green between Liverpool and Ormskirk and it’s just a short 15 minute walk from there to the centre of historic Argleton.

If you’re coming by car you might want to take the A59 Liverpool to Ormskirk Road. There is ample parking available all over Argleton.

Local bus routes that stop nearby include the 311 from Liverpool, the 748 from Bickerstaff to Aughton or get the 752 from Town Green Station.
